Video content is now much more available and accessible than it’s ever been before. But if they’re done haphazardly or without intention, videos can be useless to your business and brand.
By creating videos without a strategy, you risk:
Wasting your time, effort, and resources on videos that don’t help your customers or bring you closer to them.
Producing content that’s irrelevant or quickly outdated (which can negatively affect your reputation or SEO rankings, too).
Chasing after shiny, new ideas that don’t move your business forward in a deliberate way.
Start with a great video content strategy and you’ll be able to tell the right stories for the right audience. In turn, your viewers will be more likely to take action or learn more.
Creating strategic videos and stories can help your business flourish and leave you excited and energized!

Video Content Strategy
-
You already have a lot of ideas, but are having trouble prioritizing and focusing them.
You’re busy and really just need a plan of what to do when for your video content.
You have very few ideas, but need help developing them into a full-fledged strategy that will allow you to connect with your viewers visually on a regular basis.
You want a friendly expert to guide you through this inquiry process.
Regardless of which of the above is most like you, you’re in the right place.
-
Developing a strategy may seem overwhelming at first, but I break it down into bite-size chunks so it’s a comfortable process. It’ll sort of be like the game Twenty Questions, except none of the questions will be “is it dead or alive?” You’re the expert on your business or brand and we’ll get to talk about your hopes and dreams for it.
I like to dive in with an initial discovery session and then get feedback from you on a draft strategy. Finally, we’ll refine it together so you feel excited to get started.
You can read more about a strategy I developed for a client here.
-
You’ll come away from our strategy sessions with a document that you can follow to create and publish your videos. The strategy will include goals, messaging, plans for videos with steps, agreed upon deadlines, and roles.
We’ll prioritize the right videos to do first, second, third, etc. and what are the steps for each. That takes away the decision fatigue and paralysis that can sometimes happen with content creation.
My main goal is for our strategy sessions to give you the courage, motivation, and plans to go ahead and make your content. The world needs to hear your voice! Your customers are waiting to hear from you!
Cost: Starting at $450

Schedule a time to talk or to get more information.
Working together on a video content strategy can be helpful to see how we work together on a project and if it would be a good fit to continue working together either on a per project basis or through my ongoing management package.
Video Editing
-
You’re not interested in learning how to edit your videos.
You’re ready to outsource video editing to an expert.
You love shooting video or have a videographer who you love to work with, but need someone to put it together into a cohesive story.
You’re a videographer and want to spend more of your time shooting and less time in the editing studio.
-
The first step is for me to learn about your project, your strategy, and your vision. I listen deeply to what you need and ask questions so we’re on the same page before I start. I want you to feel heard and be wowed by how spot-on the first draft will be.
Once I have your footage, photos, audio, and/or graphics, I review it all and create a scene outline. While the outline is not set in stone, it gives me a framework from which to build out the video.
I’ll send over a first draft and we can schedule a time to talk through your feedback (or you can send it via email and we can go back and forth that way). I typically do two rounds of revisions (with additional rounds available on an hourly basis as needed). The amount of revisions is typically plenty because I get clarity from you at the start of the project so you won’t have to worry that I’m going down some unforeseen rabbit hole.
After the video is finalized, I send you the files (including project files and any music licenses). I also provide instructions for how to upload to your platform of choice or I can upload to your YouTube channel for an additional fee. I enjoy taking care of my clients so that the videos can get out there into the world.
-
Common edits include color adjustment and grading; audio adjustments; text, graphics, and intros/outros; selection and addition of background music; and transitions or some animation.
I also can review your background or shoot settings before you tape your video. This can reduce the number of takes you have to do and can make sure you get the right shots from the start.
And if you are considering whiteboard animation or animated characters, but are open to alternatives, let’s talk. While I don’t specialize in that type of video editing, I can appreciate the creativity there and may have ideas for you.
Additional Options to Work Together
Scripting & Scene Outlines
-
You have a great idea for a video, but don’t have the right words or visuals to go along with it.
When you sit down to write a script or organize scenes, nothing is sounding or looking the way you want.
-
This is collaboration at its finest. We’ll jump on a short call where you can tell me about your video idea and vision, and I’ll ask you questions to clarify everything before I start writing or outlining the scenes.
A scene outline is like a storyboard, but without the fully drawn out scenes. I find it to be a useful way to work through an idea and connect visuals to words in an easy-to-follow format.
Don’t have a fully fleshed out idea yet? No problem! Even a kernel of a story is enough to start with! What I do need to see before we start is a content strategy so I can better understand the bigger picture.
If you don’t have a strategy, we can work together on a video content consultation (see package above) and then proceed to scripting and scene outlines.
Also if your content is really technical or specific to your industry, I might have more questions as I go along.
After listening to you, I review all the content you want to share as well as your vision, goals, messaging, and target audience. The kernel grows into a fully formed (baby) plant at this stage. Your script or scenes become a reality. I provide two rounds of revisions, which is typically enough to get the script or scene outline finalized. Additional rounds of revisions are available on an hourly basis as needed, of course.
At the end of the process, you’ll have a script or scene outline that will help you get your words and visuals out into the world. Throughout the whole process, your idea and vision is at the center so you achieve your goals through the video.
-
The outcome is a custom script or scene outline that tells your story in a way that is just right for you and your viewers. You’ll be able to take that script, record your own audio or hand it to a voiceover artist without more back and forth required on your part. Or you can take that scene outline and follow it as you plan your video shots or look for stock footage.
In both scenarios, you’ll be able to better work with video professionals to get exactly what you want (including if you work with me as a video editor).
Estimate: starting at $200 for up to a two-minute video*
* Note - This is simply a starting point for my estimates. There are a couple of factors that affect my scripting/scene outline prices, primarily: 1) how long the video is and 2) how many cuts, different scenes, or different script points are needed. If you’re unsure, please reach out and I can ask you questions that will lead to a more accurate estimate.

Website or Product Demo Videos
-
You have a great product or digital work ready to showcase on your website, YouTube channel, and other platforms.
You want to offer potential customers a walkthrough of all the cool features of your website or product.
Instead of having potential clients contact you for a demo, you want to save time by conveniently offering on-demand demos of your website or product for people to watch.
-
You’re the expert on your website or product and I’m the expert on making your demo shine on video. We’ll work together to make sure your features are showcased accurately and in an engaging way.
This is a highly customizable offering depending on your comfort level and available resources. Some clients feel comfortable recording their walkthroughs via screen capture software and audio recordings. Other clients want me to take on the script, handle the screen capture and/or audio recordings, and finalize the video.
There are a wide variety of ways we can work together on your demos!
-
You’ll receive a custom website or product demo video that showcases your key features in an engaging way.
Because it is a custom product, there are a few variables here that will affect pricing:
Do you have a script or do you need me to create one? Creating a script requires a call with stakeholders on the project.
Will you be doing the audio recording and/or the screen capture, or should I plan on doing them? Both will need to be high quality to be used in a demo. Trust me - you don’t want your clients squinting to see what’s on the screen or struggling to listen to a low-quality audio recording.
Will your demo need additional graphics? I can create animated intro and outro slides or can provide dimensions for your graphic designer to create one.
How long do you estimate the demo will take? How long will the screen recording be (if you are doing it)? Longer videos require more review time, which will impact the estimate.
Estimate: starting at $200*

Video Content Ongoing Management
-
You’re a busy business owner who wants to work with someone on a strategy and decide what video content is created, but needs someone else to do the work to make it a reality.
You’re looking for an ongoing partner who can review your video content strategy periodically with you to make sure it continues to align with your vision and goals.
-
It’ll be an ongoing connection with regular check-ins, assignments, due dates, and next steps. You and your team will always know what’s on everyone’s plates and can start to produce video content on a regular basis (or keep it going).
My background as a project manager comes in handy here. I know how to put systems and processes in place so that tasks don’t get forgotten.
After many years and clients, I’ve enhanced my skill of being persistent without being annoying. As one of my clients says in her testimonial: “She even patiently helped keep me on track when I got off task with providing video files.”
My goal is to keep you creating great video content so you can connect with your audience regularly and reach your hopes and visions for your business.
-
You’ll get smooth management of your video content without having to do it yourself. You won’t have to worry anymore about when your next video is coming out or what you’ll be doing for videos next month. You’ll have a plan to follow (and adjust as needed) with plenty of content ideas to pursue. Most importantly, you’ll feel taken care of and have ease around your content so you can focus on other areas of your business.

Video Content Project Management (per project basis)
-
You need someone to help you go from an already-built strategy to the final video result, one project at a time.
You need a team of video professionals for a project, but don’t have connections to any and/or don’t have time to manage them yourself.
You’ve got a strategy in place (either through me or another strategist) and need help getting from A to Z.
You need a project manager for a video project, but don’t want to hire an employee.
You’ve got a more complicated project in which you know other professionals need to be involved, but don’t want to or can’t manage it yourself.
-
Together we’ll walk through the creative brief or plan you’ve developed for this project and make sure we’re on the same page about the vision.
Then, I’ll pull together video professionals who can make it happen, whether they are motion graphic artists, illustrators, videographers, social media video creators, or voiceover artists.
I love collaborating with others and every project is different, which makes it exciting and fun.
-
You’ll get a high-quality video with less effort required on your end and with a dedicated partner by your side. The project will run smoothly and not drag out for longer than it needs to take. You don’t have to manage the many moving parts of a video project to get a beautiful, moving video at the end.
